The Wi-Fi Multi-zone Programmable CONNEX controller is compatible only with Dimplex CONNEX-enabled electric heaters. For a full listing of compatible products, please visit dimplex.com
[fa icon="plus-square"] What do I need to make the WiFi system work?
You need a broadband internet connection and a wireless router (802.11 b/g/n) as well as a smartphone or tablet with an internet browser (Internet Explorer 8, Firefox 4, Safari 5, Chrome 9 or higher).
[fa icon="plus-square"] Can I install the WiFi Multi-zone Programmable CONNEX Controller myself?
Yes! The Wi-Fi Multi-zone Programmable CONNEX Controller is powered by a USB cord that plugs into a standard 120V receptacle and has a battery backup powered by two AA batteries (for synchronization). Additionally, you have the option of using a detachable bracket for wall-mounted installation or a support stand for surface installation. No hard wiring means no electricians.
[fa icon="plus-square"] Do I need an electrician to install the CX-WIFI Multi-zone Programmable CONNEX controller?
No. The controller comes with a USB cord that plugs into a standard 120V receptacle.  Hardwiring to the heater is not required, as the controller sends wireless communication to the heaters.
[fa icon="plus-square"] I have a Dimplex CONNEX Multi -zone Programmable Controller. Do I still need the CX-WIFI controller to control my heaters remotely?

Yes. The Wi-Fi Multi-zone Programmable CONNEX controller is required to controller the CONNEX-enabled smart heaters remotely through the free app.

If you have an existing Multi-zone Programmable controller, you can still control your heaters, just not remotely.

[fa icon="plus-square"] How many heaters can I control with the CX-WIFI Multi-zone Programmable CONNEX controller?
There is no limit to how many heaters you can control, just the number of zones (4).
[fa icon="plus-square"] Can I have multiple controllers?
Yes. You will need to create a different account for each controller, using a different email address for each. There is no limit to the number of controllers that can be controlled by the app.
[fa icon="plus-square"] Can I run the controller off the battery?
No. The controller comes with a small cell battery that will last 2-3 hours. The controller is not capable of connecting to the home network off the battery. This is meant to be used only for the synchronization. Afterwards, the controller needs to be plugged in.
[fa icon="plus-square"] What happens if I lose my Wi-Fi signal?
The heaters will remain on and you can still make adjustments through the controller, but you will not be able to control the heaters from the app until the Wi-Fi signal is restored.
[fa icon="plus-square"] What happens if the power goes out?
The device will power down. When power is restored the device will reconnect to the network and your settings will be retained. The clock will adjust to the correct time automatically.
[fa icon="plus-square"] Where can I buy a CX-WIFI Multi-zone Programmable CONNEX controller?
The Wi-Fi Multi-zone Programmable CONNEX controller is available at most major hardware stores and at select Electrical Distributors. Dimplex CONNEX-enabled smart heaters are available in most major home improvement stores as well as online.

The controller is covered by a 3-year limited warranty.  Please visit dimplex.com for detailed coverage of warranty. 
[fa icon="plus-square"] What products will work with the CONNEX™ App?
The Dimplex CONNEX App is designed to work with the Dimplex Wi-Fi Multi-zone Programmable CONNEX Controller and all Dimplex Smart Heaters.
[fa icon="plus-square"] Will the CONNEX™ App work with my existing heaters?
If your heaters are Dimplex CONNEX enabled and you have a Wi-Fi Multi-zone Programmable CONNEX Controller, you can use the App with your existing heaters. No matter when you purchased and installed them your Dimplex CONNEX enabled heaters are ready to work with the CONNEX App. Simply add, or upgrade to, the WiFi Multi-zone Programmable CONNEX Controller and you will be able to control your heaters using the CONNEX App.
[fa icon="plus-square"] What devices are compatible with the CONNEX™ App?
The CONNEX App is compatible with iPhones and iPads with IOS version 8.4 or higher as well as Android Smartphones and Tablets with version 4.1 or greater.
[fa icon="plus-square"] How do I find and download the CONNEX™ App for my phone?
Go to the CONNEX App page and click the Apple or Google Play buttons to download the Dimplex CONNEX App. Watch this video to see the installation steps for the CONNEX App set-up. It's easy to install and use!
[fa icon="plus-square"] What mobile devices are compatible?
The CONNEX app is compatible with iPhones and iPads as well as Android Smartphones and Tablets. IOS version 8.4 or greater is required for Apple devices and 4.1 or greater for Android devices.
[fa icon="plus-square"] Can I still use the CONNEX™ App if I lose my home WiFi Signal?
You will still be able to control your heaters using the touchpad on the Wi-Fi Multi-zone Programmable CONNEX Controller, but you will not be able to use the CONNEX App, to control your heaters, until the signal is back.
[fa icon="plus-square"] How do I get the CX-WIFI app?
Visit the App Store or Google Play and download the free Dimplex CONNEX Wi-Fi app.
[fa icon="plus-square"] It says "offline" on the app
Ensure the controller is plugged in. Check your home network connection.
[fa icon="plus-square"] I don’t see "CONNEX" listed in my home’s available Wi-Fi networks
Ensure the controller is plugged in and that your mobile device has Wi-Fi enabled.  If it is still not appearing, reboot your mobile device and conduct a factory reset of the controller. Press down on the 'PROG' button and hold for approximately 10 seconds until the screen goes blank and all the icons re-appear.
[fa icon="plus-square"] I downloaded the app but it says the device is not registered. How do I register?
A controller needs to be registered before you can use the app. Follow the instructions from the app on how to register your device.
[fa icon="plus-square"] How do I know my information is secure/ private?
Please read the CONNEX WIFI App Security document for a detailed explanation.
[fa icon="plus-square"] If the zones are showing the temperature in those zones, what is the inside temperature reading?
There is a temperature sensor on the controller which provides the inside temperature displayed on the app.  This is the ambient temperature based on the location of the controller.  
[fa icon="plus-square"] I cannot find the app in the App Store
If using an iPad, when in the App Store filter your search to “iPhone only” as the app is optimized for iPhones but is compatible with iPads
[fa icon="plus-square"] The link in the account activation email doesn’t work when I click on it
Ensure that you are opening the email from a mobile device (smartphone or tablet) and not a PC or laptop.
